First time here, visiting from Texas. Our lunch was outstanding all around! The shawarma sandwich and kebab was tender, juicy, and hit the spot. The lentil soup and salad was delicious as well. Highly recommend their garlic sauce as well. Also (surprisingly) had possibly my the best orange juice I've ever had. Very friendly service all-around. Will definitely visit again next time we're in Dearborn.

You can find much better in Dearborn. The menu at Al-Ajami is more or less the same as you'll find at most Lebanese/Middle East restaurants in Dearborn. They do bring hot bread so that's a plus. We ordered salads, tawook and beef kafta. Nothing was great. The chicken was overcooked and the kafta had no flavor. it literally tasted just like plain hamburger so possibly they forgot to add the spices. Even the toum was strange. It just didn't taste right but we weren't sure why. Everything was edible but nothing that would bring us back. It just can't compare to the other 50 restaurants in the area with the same menu. I need to mention the bathrooms need a good cleaning too. The light switch looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. You probably don't want to see the kitchen.

Amazing food here! some things I liked here include the warm hummus (topped with minced meat), the soujouk (spicy sausage), and chicken shawarma plate. Everything was great here, although the Turkish coffee could be improved upon. Other than that, a nice spot to eat at when in the city.

This is the best middle-eastern restaurant ever! We just ordered mosabaha and falafel and it's always delicious! This place is flawless!!! I wish other middle-eastern restaurants were like this one! The waiters are so polite and understanding! They don't argue in front of customers (for anybody who say they do) and they are really professional too!!! At the end they make sure everything is up to your standards!! I totally recommend it!

Everything was so scrumptious and made my mouth water! It was my first time trying Middle Eastern food like this.
My friend introduced me to this place. Very spacious and we were seated in a big booth. A plate full of pickled radishes, pickles, & other veggies came out with hummus, House salad, & beautifully warmed fluffy pocket bread. So sitting in a family booth, we both decided to order the combo tray from the family tray. There was an abundance of food that could feed a family of 5-7 in my opinion. It came with meat shawarma, chicken shawarma, meat kafta, chicken kafta, & falafel. You also get a choice of rice or fries. Of course we went with rice! Once our food came out, it was nice to be educated on the food. The waiter explained that their meat was halal and pointed out what each item was. Our entire table was filled!
The meat kafta was my favorite! I didn't know there could be so much flavor in one bite! Their meat was not dry & it wasn't too oily. Everything just paired so well together. Even the pickles helped cleanse your palette for the next mouthful.
In the end we were both happily full & couldn't eat another bite. I need to try their freshly squeezed juices & dessert next time!
